Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu
Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, you will be escorted by our tour representative who will get you checked into your appointed hotel for a fulfilling dinner meal followed by an overnight stay there.
Day 02: Pashupatinath Mandir
Post your morning breakfast, you will be taken to Pashupatinath Temple.
Located on the banks of the Bagmati River, this is one of the most sacred temple complexes in India. A UNESCO cultural world heritage site, this sprawling collection of Hindu temples and ashrams was set up centuries ago. Pashupatinath mandir is the oldest Hindu temple in Kathmandu dating back to 400 BC. With its central deity being Pashupatinath, lord of all animals living as well as dead, the temple is gets swarmed during Maha Shivratri where over 800,000 devotees pay their respects to the residing lord.
After completing your darshan and offering your puja rituals, you will then be taken for lunch back at the hotel.
Evening time will be reserved for your leisurely activities and strolling through the vibrant, lively and colorful marketplaces of Kathmandu. These marketplaces will be located around your hotel in order to ensure convenience.
Your day will end with a delicious dinner meal along with an overnight stay.
Day 03: Zhangmu – Nyalam (32.3 Kms / 45 Mines)
Early in the morning after having a delicious and healthy breakfast meal you will be taken to Tibet which is located at a distance of 150km. on your way, you to Tibet will be served a delicious meal of lunch.
You will then be cleared for immigration and custom, from where you will start your journey towards the Tibet border of Zhangmu. This town is a port of entry and acts as a customs town located in the Nyalam County.
Our tour representative present on the border will take you to Nyalam. Upon your arrival in Nyalam, late in the evening, you will be checked into a hotel where you will have your dinner and retire for the day.
Day 04: Nyalam
This day will be reserved for you to explore this town and have some leisurely time around the town. After having your breakfast in the morning you will head to the town.
You can fest yourself with some local Tibetan food, get yourself some authentic souvenirs or drench in the culture of this town and gather memories of a lifetime. Take an enriching stroll through the marketplaces and witness what real Tibet is like.
You will come back to your hotel in evening for an overnight stay and a fulfilling dinner meal.
Day 05: Nyalam – Saga (250 Kms / 9 Hours)
After having your breakfast in the morning your journey towards Saga will commence.
The whole way is extremely picturesque and you will be able to enjoy the panoramic views of Mt. Shishapangma, Gauri Shankar and several other mighty mountains from the Lalung La Pass. You will also be made to explore the famous Lake Peiku Tso. This lake is an extremely soothing and calming alpine lake which is located close to the 14th highest mountain in the world. This is considered as one of the most offbeat places to visit in Tibet, where the land is lined with a clear blue turquoise lake along with a backdrop of the snowcapped mountains. This is truly one of the most exhilarating sites in Tibet.
You will finally be taken to your hotel in Saga where you will be served a wholesome dinner followed by an overnight stay.
Day 06: Saga – Mansarovar Lake (144 Kms)
After having an early morning breakfast, your journey towards the spiritual sites of Kailash Parvat and Mansarovar Lake will begin. On your way you will be served a fulfilling lunch meal before reaching the holy sites.
Upon your arrival to Mt. Kailash and Mansarovar Lake you will be taken for a darshan to complete your puja rituals. Mansarovar Lake is located near Mt. Kailash from where it receives its fresh water. This high altitude freshwater lake is revered extremely sacred and religious by Hindus, Buddhists, Jains and Bones. It is believed that this lake was conceived in the mind of Lord Brahma after which it settled in earth personifying purity and sacredness. It is said that after having some amount of water from this lake one would be washed off of their sins which will send them straight to the abode of Lord Shiva after their death.
The main source of Mansarovar Lake lies in its backdrop, which is Mt. Kailash. This mountain holds immense religious and sacred significance across numerous religious groups. Kailash Parvat holds immense significance to Hindus since this is considered as the home of Lord Shiva, where he resided and performed intense meditation along with his wife Parvati. Ever since one can remember this holy mountain site sees pilgrims from across the globe on a daily basis that come here to take a holy dip in the Mansarovar Lake.
After performing your holy rituals you will be taken to a nearby campsite at Horchu, where you will be served a delicious dinner meal by the bonfire followed by a comfortable overnight stay.
Day 07: Mansarovar – Darchen
Your morning will commence on a very spiritual note, with performing Hawan and some puja rituals in the nearby Shiva temples. After that you will be served a complete breakfast meal from where you will be taken to the tiny village settlement of Darchen via the Mansarovar parikrama point.
Situated right in front of the holy Mt. Kailash, Darchen is the starting point for pilgrimages within the region. It houses some guesthouses, hotels and restaurants where one can ensure a comfortable and hassle-free stay.
Upon your arrival in Darchen you will be provided with lunch and dinner at your hotel followed by an overnight stay there.
Day 08: Tarboche – Yam Dwar – Dirapuk
Early in the morning, you will be served a delicious and fulfilling breakfast mea. After filling up on some healthy food you will then be taken to Tarboche and Yam Dwar.
Tarboche holds immense religious significance in Tibetan spirituality, which is a giant flagpole complete with innumerable prayer flags. It is one of the most important tourist and pilgrim sites when the ritual of raising up the flagpole and pointing towards the east is carried out. This ritual is carried out by the monks of Gyangdrak Monastery along with a rhythmic cacophony of spiritual and local music.
On the other hand yam dwar is also located in tarboche itself and is a must visit for everyone visiting Tarboche. It is said that the actual entrance through this gate would be only possible when the soul detaches itself from the mortal world. It is also known as the gateway to the abode of Lord Shiva.
After visiting these two holy sites you will then be headed towards Diraphuk, which is popularly known as the Kailash parikrama. Your stay will be prepared at a nearby campsite. After offering your prayers and completing other rituals you will be served your dinner and an overnight stay at the campsite.
Day 09: Dolma La Pass – Gauri Kund – Zuthulphuk
After having a wholesome and much needed healthy breakfast meal in the morning, your trek towards Gauri Kund will commence. While on the trek your eyes will feast on some picturesque beauty all around complete with majestic and snowcapped mountains.
You will be made to head towards Gauri Kund, which lies downwards. Since it is one of the most testing treks, you are advised to carry and extremely light luggage mostly consisting of healthy eatables and water supply.
Gauri kund is one of the holiest pilgrimage sites in India, where Goddess Parvati performed an intense penance involving numerous yogis and ascetics in order to win Lord Shiva’s affections. This place hold importance since according to legend, this is the exact spot where Lord Shiva had admitted his love for Goddess Parvati.
From Gauri Kund you will then be made to head towards the floor of the valley, Zuthulphuk. Your trek won’t end here, you will be taken further into the area where you will be checked into a camping site, where you will be served a delicious dinner meal followed by an overnight stay.
Day 10: Paryang – Saga
Early in the morning, after having a fulfilling breakfast meal, you will be taken to Paryang through the Mansarovar Horchow. This will be done through an 8km of trekking journey till you reach the point where the pickup jeeps will be waiting at Darchen. This is the end point of the parikrama.
After a long and tiring trek you will be served a fulfilling lunch meal and after which you will be transferred to Prayag which is a tiny township, through the Mansarovar Horchow.
Upon your arrival in Prayang you will be checked into a guest house where you will be served dinner followed with an overnight stay.
Day 11: Saga – Nyalam
After having a fulfilling breakfast meal, you will be taken to Nyalam which is a long journey, and then be checked into your pre-booked hotel.
This day will be only for relaxation upon your arrival in Nyalam. Your day will end with a wholesome dinner meal along with an overnight stay.
Day 12: Nyalam – Kathmandu
After having your wholesome breakfast meal you will be driven to Zhangmu where your customs and immigration check in will be done. You will be taken to a guest house in the Nepal border where you will be served a delicious lunch meal.
Post lunch you will be headed towards Kathmandu.
Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, you will be made to stay at a hotel, where you will also be served a delicious dinner meal.
Day 13: Departure from Kathmandu
Early in the morning after breakfast, you will be taken to Kathmandu airport from where you will move towards your onward destination
