Leh Ladakh Grand Tour Itinerary Package
Day 1 :Arrival in Leh
Leh is conveniently connected via air route from other states of the country. However, the flights are only available basis the weather conditions due to dynamic weather in Leh. Once you arrive in Leh, check in to your hotel and relax.
Your body needs at least a day’s time to acclimatize to the high altitude of Leh. Keep yourself hydrated and take the day as slow as you can. Explore the Leh Palace during the day and witness panoramic views of Leh City from here.
Visit Shanti Stupa in Leh after this, it is so peaceful to be here and you are going to be lost in the beauty of this place and its serene ambiance. Stroll around the Leh market in the evening and do not forget to try some local food and experience the authentic cuisine of Leh.
Day 2 :Leh Local Sightseeing
Leh is known for its beautiful and grand monasteries. An entire day is not enough to cover all the monasteries of Leh. Start your monastery tour with Hemis Monastery. It is the largest and richest monastery in the Ladakh region. You are really going to enjoy the vibe of this place. After Hemis, visit the Thiksey Monastery, which is known for its stunning architecture, that will leave you mesmerized. Have lunch in any local cafe in Leh, most of the cafes in Leh serve really good food.
When in Leh, do visit the grand Shey Palace, which is also known for its historical significance, and of course, the monastery. This monastery is really peaceful and you can spend some relaxing and rejuvenating time here. Go back to your hotel and rest for a while before you have your dinner. Day 3 :Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardung La
Start your day early as it is going to be hectic and full of travel as you head to Nubra Valley from Leh. The roads are not very smooth. It will take you approx. 5 hours to reach Nubra Valley. Day 4 :Reach Pangong Lake Via Shyok Valley
Head to Pangong Lake early in the morning and take the Shyok Valley route. It will take you approximately 6 hours to reach the lake. You get to experience some of the most beautiful views on your way as you pass by the Shyok Valley on the way.
Once you reach Pangong Lake, enjoy the surreal ambiance and natural beauty of this gem. The mesmerizing landscapes around the lake are so soothing to the eyes, enjoy the views to the fullest. Overnight camping at the lake is going to be one of the most memorable experiences of your life. You will be served with simple and convenient food at the camping site.
Day 5 :Drive back to Leh
Wake up early in the morning and start your day with an extraordinary sunrise at the lake. Keep the pictures of the sunrise with you always as a memory for a lifetime. Spend some more time near the lake till your soul and eyes are satisfied.
Head back to Leh. It will take you 4 hours to reach back. Spend the evening in Leh market and buy some souvenirs for your loved ones and yourself as memories of Leh.
Day 6 :Leh to Tso Moriri Lake
Drive to Tso Moriri Lake early in the morning. The drive is an experience in itself with beautiful scenic views. Enjoy the beauty of the lake, relax, and rejuvenate. Karzok village is one of the highest towns in the world and is located on the shore of Tso Moriri Lake, explore the town and the local culture. Try the local food in the town and rest up.
Day 7 :Drive back to Leh and explore monasteries
