Lumbini Buddhist Circuit Tour Itinerary

Day 1 :Arrival in Kathmandu

Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, our tour representative will assist you from the airport to your allotted hotel here where you will be spending the night. The entire day will be free for you to spend it in a leisurely manner.

Day 2 :Kathmandu – Lumbini

After breakfast in the morning, your Buddhist pilgrimage tour will commence. Your first stop will be the sacred site of Swayambhunath – a stupa complex with a plethora of shrines and temples. Located atop the Kathmandu valley, this classic complex offers magnificent views of the surrounding valley.

Your next stop will be at the famous Boudhanath stupas – a UNESCO world heritage site, one of the largest stupas in the world and is also one of the most popular tourist attractions in Kathmandu.

After this, you will be transferred to the airport where you will be made to board the flight heading towards Lumbini. Upon arriving at Lumbini you will be taken to your allotted hotel by our tour representatives for an overnight stay.

Day 3 :Lumbini Buddhist Locations Sightseeing

After your breakfast in the morning you will be assisted to some of the most religious Buddhist sites which will include visiting; Tilaurakot – which is identified as the historical location for Kapilavastu, the place where Gautam Buddha had spent the first 29 years of his life making it another important Buddhist pilgrimage site; Gotihawa – the birthplace for Kakusandha Buddha; Kudan stupa – an offbeat stupa and the place where Buddha had visited numerous times after his enlightenment; Siddharthanagar – the gateway to Lumbini; Niglihara – the birthplace of Kanakmuni Buddha; Sagarhawa – the place of massacre of the Shakya clan; Aurorakot – large, rectangular, fortified area with ancient ruins.

After a full day of sightseeing, you will be escorted back to your hotel where you will be staying the night.

Day 4 :Lumbini – Devdaha – Ramgram – Bhairahawa

Early in the morning after breakfast, your journey to Bhairahawa will commence. en route you will be made to visit two of the most important archeological sites of Devdaha – Gautam Buddha had spent a number of his growing years with his step mother here and is also one of the most important Buddhist tourist attractions here; Ramagrama stupa – a 2500-year-old stupa with Gautam Buddha’s relics and one of the prime Buddhist pilgrimage site in Nepal.

Upon you arrival in Bhairahawa after completing an hour of road journey you will be duly checked in to your allotted hotel where you will be spending the night.

Day 5 :Bhairahawa – Kathmandu – Pharping

Early in the morning, you will be driven to the airport where you will be made to board the flight headed towards Kathmandu. Once you arrive in Kathmandu our tour representative will assist you to Pharping which will be a road journey of 1 hour. Pharping is home to some of the most important Buddhist sites like Yanglesho cave – the place where Guru Padmasambhava achieved his level of Mahamudra Vidyadhara; Asura cave – an ancient important Vajrayogini Temple. Other sites of Buddhist importance include; Ralo Rinpoche’s monastery among a number of other temples, monasteries and retreat centres.

Later on after a day of soulful spiritualism, you will be escorted back to your hotel here in Pharping for an overnight stay.

Day 6 :Pharping – Namo – Kathmandu

Early in the morning, you will be taken for a sightseeing visit of Namo village – which is home to an extremely old Thrangu Tashi Yangtse monastery along with being one of the prime and holiest tourist Buddhist destinations in Nepal as well as the world. Namo is the place where in his previous life, Buddha offered his body to a starving tigress and her cubs.

You will then be made to head on towards Kathmandu where you will be spending the night.

Day 7 :Kathmandu Departure

Early in the morning, our tour representative will guide you to the airport from where you will be boarding the flight heading onwards toward your desired destination.
