South India Hill Stations Tour Itinerary

Day 1 :Kochi – Munnar (130 Kms / 3 Hours 45 Mines)

Early in the morning, you will be driven to Munnar, which literally translates to three rivers. On your way you will encounter a wide variety of greenery, spice plantations and other gardens which will immediately put your mind at ease.

Before checking in to your allotted hotel you will be made to experience a lush tea garden where you can also get yourself some original tea samples.

Day 2 :Munnar Sightseeing

Your sightseeing trip to Munnar will commence today, which will occur after a hearty breakfast meal.

Starting with a visit to Mattupetty dam, which is a massive dam and is vital source of hydroelectric power. The top walkway of the dam serves as beautiful viewing point for visitors from where they can take in the spectacular view of the surroundings.

Your next stop will be sightseeing to the ‘Everest of South India’ the highest peak in Kerala, Anamudi. This peak is also popular for being shaped in the form of an elephant head, and a popular place where people visit to get away from the hustle-bustle of the fast lane. You will be presented with extreme lush greenery and high mountains.

You will then be taken 20 km further to Kundala lake, which is a clear blue shimmering lake where people can go and do some boating activities and spend some quality time with loved ones. Located comfortably on the lap of the surrounding green valleys, the lake is a major tourist attraction.

Your final stop for the day will be at the blossom international park, which is the ideal spot for bird watching, soaking in the peaceful ambience and to unwind. The quiet environment coupled with lush greenery can be your best source for revitalizing.

Day 3 :Munnar – Kodaikanal (163 Kms / 5 Hours 5 Mines)

On this day you will head on towards another princess of hills, Kodaikanal en route you will witness some of the most picturesque and charming sights of waterfalls, huge dams and spice plantations. Once you arrive at your allotted hotel in Kodaikanal you will be free to leisure around.

Day 4 :Kodaikanal Sightseeing

You will head out today for a local sightseeing expedition of Kodaikanal starting with a visit to Coaker’s walk, which is a walkway made especially for visitors to walk by the mountain and enjoy the mystifying and enchanting beauty of the valley.

After that your next destination will be upper lake viewpoint from where you can witness some of the most panoramic vistas of the surroundings. The views of the vast open fields below, definitely works as a stress buster.

Next you will be taken to Bryant Park, which is filled with various colorful flowers and a peaceful surrounding. One of the main attractions here is the glass house which also has various types of flower inside it.

Pine forest will be your next and last stop, where every inch is filled up with tall pine trees. Be sure to look out for the monkeys and not carry eatables along inside the forested area in order to avoid littering and keep the forest clean.

Your day concludes here, and you will be taken to your hotel.

Day 5 :Kodaikanal – Ooty (270 Kms / 6 Hours)

Your journey towards the queen of South India, Ooty will commence.

On your way you will be taken on a spiritual experience at the Palani Murugan temple, which is one of the 6 abodes of Lord Murugan and is built in Dravidian architecture.

After offering your prayers in this holy stopover, your journey towards Ooty will commence again, and upon your arrival, you will be easily checked in to your hotel where you will be spending the night.

Day 6 :Ooty Sightseeing

Your full city tour of Ooty will take place today, where you will start off by witnessing some of the most vibrant and blooming flowers that will prove to be a very positive start to your day at the Botanical garden here. This garden is the perfect picnic spot and a place where you and your family can have a great bonding time.

Your next visitation place will be the famous and picturesque Ooty Lake. The major attraction apart from the boat ride still remains the boathouse which is situated by the lake. The towering eucalyptus trees contouring the lake give it a majestic look.

You will be then be taken to the spiritual centre of St. Stephen’s church which is known for being one of the oldest churches in the Nilgiri district. The church is cradled among the thick trees and greenery and is constructed in neo-gothic styles making it a must visit site.

You will finally be free to buy some souvenirs and gifts at Ooty, which can include everything from Eucalyptus oil, handmade chocolate, organic and freshly picked tea to various seasonal fruits collection; it is truly every shopper’s delight.

Day 7 :Coimbatore (85 Kms / 3 Hours 10 Mines)

You will head on towards Coimbatore, which will take some time since the roads are winding and it takes time to descend from the hills since the driver has to drive extremely carefully.

Here you will be made to stay at a hotel where you will spend your night.

Day 8 :Coimbatore Departure

Early in the morning after having your breakfast, you will be escorted to your departure location, marking the end of your trip.
