Day 1: Arrival in Kohima
Upon your arrival at the Dimapur Airport in Kohima, you will be welcomed and firmly greeted by our tour representative who will then escort you to the hotel. Complete the check-in formalities and then freshen up followed by a short nap and then later in the evening proceed towards the local markets and the nearby areas of your hotel. Conclude the day schedule by moving back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Kohima Sightseeing Tour
Post a hearty breakfast, get ready to commence your full-day sightseeing tour of Kohima. War Cemetery is the first destination that you will be exploring today as this is the place that holds great importance in the origin of this state. In the afternoon, take a short lunch break and try the lip-smacking cuisine that are served nicely at the hotels and after finishing your lunch move towards the Jakhama Village where Angami Naga tribes reside. So, visiting this village offers you a perfect opportunity to know about their culture, traditions, and lifestyles. Next, you will be visiting the Heritage Complex where the popular Hornbill Festival is organized every year.
Day 3: The Tribal Heritage of Kohima
Wake up early morning and treat your taste buds with the relishing breakfast and then you have two options out of which you can select the one that suits your match or travel taste i.e. visiting either Touphema or Khonoma Village. You will have to cover a total distance of 45 km from Kohima if you are moving towards Touphema where you can interact with the Angami Naga tribes and if you are selecting the second option which is visiting Khonoma Village then you will have to cover a short distance of 20 km. This beautiful and green village held great importance in the past and was called as fighting prowess. The ceremonial gates and the Morungs are the key attractions of this village and you also get the chance to meet the local craftsmen on this village tour.
Day 4: From Land of Tribes to Land of Tranquility
After you are done with the healthy and mouth-watering morning meal, leave from the hotel in Kohima as this is the time to move towards Imphal, the next destination of the trip. On reaching this desired destination, check-into the comfy hotel room and rest for a while and then leave for Shree Govindajee Temple and state museum. Shree Govindajee temple is believed to be an epicentre of the historic Vaishnava culture. The main deities that are worshipped and idolized gracefully here are Lord Krishna, Lord Jagannath, Lord Balaram, Goddess Subhadra, Radha Govind and Balabhadra. Later in the evening, you are scheduled to drive towards Khwairamband Bazar from where you can buy some amazing souvenirs for your family and friends.
Day 5: Mesmerizing Imphal Sightseeing Tour
The fifth day of your trip starts with your drive towards the places that are reckoned for their impeccable scenic vistas so after getting up have your breakfast first and then leave for the day trip. Explore some of the most famous destinations in the city including the Zoological Garden and Khonghampat Orchidarium. Moirang is the next stopover of the journey which is almost at a distance of 45 km from Imphal and is quite popular because it had once served as the capital city of Manipur and is the epicenter of Meithei culture. On reaching this pace you can explore the wonderful Sadu Chiru waterfall and also the Japanese War Memorial which had been constructed in the remembrance of the soldiers who fought bravely in World War II against the Japanese.
Day 6: End to the Trip
