Kailash Mansarovar Helicopter Yatra Itinerary
Day 1 :Nepalgunj
Welcome to Nepal! Upon your arrival in Nepalgunj, our tour representative will greet you and will take you to the pre-booked hotel. Check-in at the hotel, freshen up and then relax in the Cozy ambiance of the hotel room. Set out of the hotel in the evening and walk along the streets of the city. Return to the hotel, have delicious Nepalese food and then overnight stay.
Day 2 :Nepalgunj – Simikot – Hilsa – Purang
Early morning post breakfast we will fly to Simikot which is at an aerial distance of 45 minutes from Nepalgunj. You will again be continuing with the flight journey to Hilsa (30 minutes distance by flight). Later on, we will drive towards Purang which is a very small town in Tibet. You will have to follow certain formalities at this place as you will be crossing the border. Upon your arrival in Purang which is set at an altitude of 3800 meters above the sea level, you will be taken to the hotel for the overnight stay.
Day 3 :Purang
No planned schedule for the day and the day is free and is specially designed for the acclimatization. Prepare your mind and body to get adapted to the new environment.
Day 4 :Purang – Mansarovar
Begin your day with a drive towards the Mansarovar Lake. Drive for around 3 hours to reach the holy lake in Tibet whose blissful aura is unexplainable in words. Take a dip in this holy lake and cleanse all your lifetime sins (as per Hindu mythologies) and that also not only of one life but also for seven lifetimes. Offer your prayer and Prasad and perform the puja rituals on the banks of this sacred lake.
Day 5 :Mansarovar – Yama Dwar – Diraphuk
You need to get up very early in the morning to perform the puja rituals after taking a dip in the holy water of the lake. Later you will be taken to the nest destination of the day, Yama Dwar which is known for a beautiful ancient palace from where you get the view of the southern side of the Mt. Kailash and then from there to Diraphuk. After the day trip return to the guesthouse for the overnight stay.
Day 6 :Diraphuk – Dolma La Pass – Zuthulphuk
Early morning after the healthy breakfast set out to cover the trekking trail at Dolma La Pass which is situated at an elevation of 5650 meters above the sea level. It is considered to be the toughest and the steepest route to be covered throughout the journey. You will have to spend approx. 10-12 hours in trekking today which is quite arduous but you won’t feel less energetic or boredom. Enjoy the beautiful view of the holy Gauri Kund Lake which is located beyond the Dolma La Pass. Later on, you will be trekking towards the Zuthulphuk Valley.
Day 7 :Zuthulphuk – Darchen
You will be visiting Mani Walls today by covering the trekking trail of 3- 4 hours. The destination is famous for its spiritual inscriptions including mantras on the rocks. There is a ritual at this place which is followed by every devotee coming here. Devotees visiting this place touch the holy rocks as they are believed to wish to grant and also bring good luck and blessings. After the exploration of this beautiful and religious place, you will be taken to Darchen. On reaching Darchen you will be taken to the guesthouse for the dinner and then overnight stay.
Day 8 :Darchen – Purang – Hilsa
Wake up early in the morning and then proceed towards Hilsa via Purang. On your arrival, you will be transferred to the guesthouse to relax and then in the evening stroll down the streets of the city and try out some shopping pieces of stuff.
Day 9 :Hilsa – Simikot – Nepalgunj
This is the last day of your journey with us. Post breakfast check-out from the hotel and Board the helicopter to reach Simikot. Take the flight to reach Nepalgunj from where you will be proceeding towards the further journey back to home.
