North East Tour with Kaziranga Package Itinerary

Day 1 :Guwahati – Shillong

Atlas Travel representative shall receive you at Guwahati. After a welcome ceremony you will be transferred to Shillong. Have Lunch on the way at Barapani Umiam Lake, a lovely placid lake with its surroundings in picturesque sylvan hills. On arrival at Shillong, the representative assists to accommodate you in your pre-booked hotel. Have dinner and stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 2 :Shillong – Cherrapunjee – Shillong

Take delicious breakfast served at the hotel. And then drive to Cherrapunjee, the wettest place in the world.

Day 3 :Shillong – Kaziranga

In the afternoon drive to Kaziranga National Park which is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Upon arrival, Atlas Travel representative transfers you to your room pre-booked at a lodge. Spend rest of day relaxing at the lodge. Have dinner and stay overnight at the lodge.

Day 4 :Kaziranga National Park: Elephant Safari

In the early morning, explore central area of Kaziranga National Park by an exciting elephant safari. Ride an elephant through the park chasing one-horned rhinos.

Kaziranga is best known for good population of one-horned rhinos, elephants, tigers, swamp deer and wild water buffalo. Other animals found in the park is leopards, wild boars, hog deer, gaurs, sambars, golden jackals, sloth bear, mongooses, hares, flying squirrels, golden langurs, etc.

Spend rest of the day at leisure to explore the nature. On time return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the lodge.

Day 5 :Kaziranga National Park: Jeep Safari

Have hearty breakfast at the lodge. Visit a tribal village and tea gardens. Later enjoy Jeep Safari in the eastern area of the Park with packed lunch. Enjoy wildlife viewing and bird watching in the park. Spend rest of the day exploring the superb beauty of nature. On time return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6 :Kaziranga – Kohima – Touphema Tourist Village

Have hearty breakfast at the hotel. Later drive to Kohima. On arrival, Atlas Travel representative transfers you Touphema Village Resort run by Angami Naga Village Community. Enjoy cultural shows and programs by village folks at the village resort. Have dinner and stay for night at the resort.

Day 7 :Touphema – Kohima – Dimori Cove

In the morning; explore the charm of Touphema tourist village. Have breakfast at the resort and drive to Kohima. Visit the WW II Cemetery nestled in the heart of Kohima Town. Also visit the State Museum. Exploring the museums gives you a peep into the various aspects of Naga Culture. The museum houses artifacts, handlooms, handicrafts, tools, gems, jewelry, coins and ancient weaponry. Later proceed to Kepfiizha (Kingvema Village) Dimori Cove Guest House. Enjoy the scenic beauty of landscapes. Have dinner and stay for night at the guest house.

Day 8 :Khonoma

After breakfast visit Angami Tribal Village of Khonoma. This village located on top of a hillock has a pastoral beauty of its own. This was where the last part of the Anglo Naga War was fought. Return to Kohima for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 9:Kohima – Jorhat

Have breakfast at the hotel. Later drive to Jorhat – the tea capital of Assam. On arrival at Jorhat, Atlas Travel representative transfers to Thengal Mansion for accommodation. The mansion is a historic ancestral house of a tea planter amidst an Assamese Village, 15 km away from Jorhat. You will have brilliant opportunity to known about Assamese culture and tradition. After lunch and rest, take a walk in a nearby village to see the simplicity of their lives. Dinner and overnight stat will be Thengal Mansion.

Day 10 :Jorhat – Majuli

Take breakfast at the hotel. Later, drive to Majuli, the biggest River Island in the world and seat of Baishnavite Monasteries.

Cross the Brahmaputra River on a ferry to rich this historic island of Majuli. On arrival, Atlas Travel representative transfers you to Govt. Circuit House at Majuli. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Majuli.

Day 11 :Majuli

Take breakfast at the hotel. Later proceed for sightseeing of Majuli, the biggest river island.

On time return back to Circuit House. Enjoy cultural presentations performed by local artists. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the Circuit House.

Day 12 :Majuli – Guwahati

Day 13 :Guwahati: Assam Silk, Pilgrimage centers

Take breakfast at the hotel. Visit Sualchuci – the Manchester of Assam. It is very famous for silk. Also visit Hajo, an all religion pilgrimage centre. Spend rest of the day at leisure. Have dinner and stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 14 :Guwahati / Farewell / Departure
