North East India Wildlife Tour Itinerary

Day 1 :Arrival in Kolkata

Once you reach Kolkata you will be assisted by our tour representative who will receive you and immediately transfer you to your allotted hotel here. Once you reach your hotel you will freshen up and stay here for the night.

Day 2 :Kolkata Sightseeing

After having your breakfast in the morning, you will be taken for your sightseeing tour of this historic city. During this day you will be made to cover the following places: Victoria Memorial – a landmark of Kolkata built between 1906 and 1921. Currently functioning as a wholesome museum this elegant structure is dedicated to the memory of Queen Victoria; St. Paul’s cathedral church – this cathedral is one of the most beautiful structures in India which was built in the 18th century and is one of the prime centers of tourist attraction; Kalighat Kali Temple – dedicated to the Hindu goddess Kali, this is one of the primary centers for people on Shakti Peeth Pilgrimage of India; Eden Gardens – a pristine Cricket Stadium; Indian Museum – generally referred to as the Imperial Museum of Kolkata it is famed for being the largest and the oldest museums in India and displays a significant collection of antique pieces, skeletons, mummies, Mughal paintings etc. it is worth a visit.

After a complete day of sightseeing in Kolkata, you will be transferred back to your hotel here where you will be spending the night.

Day 3 :Kolkata – Guwahati – Kaziranga

After having your breakfast in the morning you will be transferred to the airport for boarding your flight for Guwahati. On reaching there our tour representative will escort you to the wildlife resort in Kaziranga – home of the one-horned rhino. By evening you will be relaxing and staying the night here.

Day 4 & 5:Kaziranga National Park Jeep and Elephant Safari

For two days you will be exploring the unbelievable beauty and diversity that Kaziranga has to offer. After having your breakfast in the morning you will commence for your elephant safari where you will be exploring the hidden gems whilst being seated on the back of an elephant. It is a wonderful experience and you will be witnessing some wild cats, Langurs, deer, sloth bear, tigers etc. you will also be taken on a fun-filled and exciting jeep safari which will take you deeper into the thick forests from where you will also be able to sight some pythons, monitor lizards, exotic species of birds, bison etc. For both the days you will be staying the night in the wildlife resort inside Kaziranga.

Day 6 :Kaziranga – Guwahati – New Jalpaiguri

After having your breakfast in the morning you will be driven to Guwahati which is located at a distance of almost 4 hours. It will be a very scenic drive. Our tour representative will receive you at the railway station in Guwahati where you will be made to board an overnight train to New Jalpaiguri. It will be a journey of almost 8 to 10 hours. You will be spending your night inside the train.

Day 7 :New Jalpaiguri – Jaldapara

On reaching new Jalpaiguri station early in the morning you will be assisted by our tour representative who will guide you to your allotted hotel in Jaldapara. It is situated at a distance of around 3 hours and you will be spending your night here.

Day 8 & 9 :Jaldapara Wildlife Sanctuary Elephant and Jeep Safari

This is probably one of the most underrated and offbeat wildlife sanctuaries in India and is known for its incredible collection of flora, fauna and birds. After having your breakfast both the mornings you will be taken on fun and thrilling jeep and elephant back rides where you will be observing the wildlife from two different perspectives. These will take place in the morning and evening and will be extremely memorable.

You will be staying the nights at your hotel here for these two days.

Day 10 :Jaldapara – Gangtok

Early in the morning after having your breakfast you will be driven to your next destination in Gangtok which is situated at a distance of almost 5.5 hours of road journey. On reaching our tour representative will transfer you to your allotted hotel here where you will be spending the night.

Day 11 :Gangtok Sightseeing

After having your breakfast early in the morning your sightseeing of this charming picturesque town will commence. Firstly you will be taken to Tsomgo Lake which is located at a distance of 2.5 hours. Here you will also be visiting the famous Nathula Pass or the entry point for silk route. After visiting and exploring these incredible places you will be driven back to Gangtok where you can indulge in some fun shopping activities in the local markets here or try some delicious northeastern delicacies.

After a fun day, you will be headed back to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 12 :Gangtok – Darjeeling

Post breakfast in the morning you will be transferred to Darjeeling. On reaching Darjeeling our tour representative will guide you to your hotel here where you will be spending the night. The evening will be free for your leisurely activities.

Day 13 :Darjeeling Sightseeing

Your sightseeing day in Darjeeling will commence before the sunrise where you will be taken to the popular tiger point to witness one of the most memorable and surreal sunrises on the Kanchenjunga Mountain ranges. You will then return back to the hotel for breakfast. After this you will be made to visit the famous Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop. By evening you will be free to explore the town on your own and visit some of the traditional shops here offering folk items, handicrafts etc. you can buy some souvenirs.

After this, you will be taken back to your hotel where you will be spending the night.

Day 14 :Darjeeling – Bagdogra – Kolkata

After a peaceful and hearty breakfast meal in the morning, you will be transferred to the airport in Bagdogra which is located at a distance of almost 2.5 hours. Here you will be boarding the flight heading for Kolkata. On reaching Kolkata our tour representative will guide you to your hotel where you will be able to freshen up and spend the night.

Day 15 :Kolkata Departure

Early in the morning after the completion of the breakfast, you will be transferred to your departure point which will mark the end of your thrilling and fun filled 15 days and 14 nights of northeastern adventure with us.
