Day 1 :Delhi – Bagdogra – Darjeeling
Upon your arrival in Delhi, you will be escorted towards your connecting flight heading for Darjeeling (Bagdogra airport). Once you reach Darjeeling airport our tour representative will guide you by road to Darjeeling, which will be a journey of 3 hours through the winding mountain roads. On reaching this wonderful hill town you will be duly checked in for the night and the remainder of the day is free for you to do your leisurely activities. Feel free to explore the local surroundings and interact with the friendly and pleasant locals.
Day 2 :Darjeeling Sightseeing
Early in the morning, you will be made to visit the magnificent tiger hill where you will witness the glorious sunrise. On your way back to the hotel you will be made to visit the famous Ghoom monastery – known for its 15 feet high statue of Maitreya Buddha. After this you will be served your breakfast after which you will be made to board the famous toy train with the help of which you will be reaching till Ghoom monastery. In the afternoon, your sightseeing of the area will commence which will include visitation to places like: Tibetan refugee centre and the Himalayan mountaineering institute.
You will then be made to head on back to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 3 :Darjeeling – Pelling
After having your breakfast your drive to Pelling will kick start which will be a road journey of 4 hours. Upon reaching Pelling you will be made to escort to your allotted hotel for an overnight stay. By the time you reach Pelling it will be afternoon and after having lunch you will be made to head on for a sightseeing of Pemayangtse Monastery – the oldest Buddhist monastery in Sikkim which was constructed during the 17th century.
After a spiritual visit you will be escorted back to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 4 :Pelling – Gangtok
Early in the morning after having your breakfast you will hit the road and head on towards Gangtok, this will be a journey of 4 hours and 45 mines. Once you arrive in Gangtok you will be immediately checked in to your allotted hotel for an overnight stay. Right after lunch you will be made to head on for a visit to some of the popular tourist attractions of Gangtok like: directorate of handicraft and handloom; Enchey monastery – oldest and one of the most important monasteries in Gangtok; research institute of Tibetology; Chorten – a stupa containing religious relics and other holy books including 108 prayer wheels; Rumtek Monastery – a monastery built in the 1700s and one of the most important centres of pilgrimage for Buddhists.
You will then be made to head back to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 5 :Gangtok – Lachung
After your breakfast, you will be assisted to Lachung by completing a road journey of 4 hours. En route you will be made to halt at Kabilungtsok – a view point which presents you with breathtaking views of the surrounding environment; Naga waterfalls, where you can indulge in fun activities and the holy rock at a quaint hamlet of Chungthang. On your way you will have your lunch.
Upon reaching Lachung you will be checked in to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 6 :Lachung – Yumthang – Lachung
After having a fulfilling breakfast you will be made to head on towards the enchanting Yumthang valley. Here you will be made to indulge in some fun nature hiking of this valley which is popularly known as Valley of flowers because of its scenic and picturesque surroundings. You may also indulge in some fun zorbing activity which takes place here.
After a day filled with extreme natural beauty you will be made to head back to Lachung where you will be staying the night.
Day 7 :Lachung – Gangtok
You will be made to transfer to Gangtok by road which is a journey of 4 hours. On your way you will be able to witness the magnificent views of Kanchenjunga from the famous Singhik Point. You will also be made to explore the Phodong Monastery – an 18th-century Buddhist monastery and home to almost 250 monks. Once you reach Gangtok you will be immediately checked in to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 8 :Gangtok – Phuentsholing (Bhutan border)
After breakfast, you will be driven to Phuentsholing, which is located at a road journey of 6 hours and 20 mines. This town is located on the border of the Southern part of Bhutan. Once you arrive you will be checked in to your allotted hotel. The remainder of the day is free for you to spend some leisurely time. There are numerous interesting activities one can indulge themselves in, like interacting with the locals and sightseeing of the nearby surroundings. Later you will be spending the night at Phuentsholing.
Day 9 :Phuentsholing – Thimphu
After breakfast, you will be made to proceed towards Thimphu, which is a 6 hours’ drive, and is the capital city of Bhutan. Once you arrive at Thimphu you will immediately he checked in to your hotel for an overnight stay. Your whole day will be spent in leisure, admiring the charming natural beauty while admiring the life of the locals. Interacting with the locals and gorging on some local delicacies can be done.
Day 10 :Thimphu Sightseeing
After the completion of your breakfast you will be made to visit the famous National Library which is home to numerous ancient Buddhist manuscripts; school of Thangka Paintings as well as the Traditional medicine institute. You will also be taken through Trashi Chhoe Dzong – location of the administrative headquarters of ministries. Post lunch, during afternoon, you will be driven to Dochula which is located at a distance of 23 km from Thimphu. From here you can witness the snowcapped mountains of the surrounding Mt. Gangkar Puensum – the highest mountain in Bhutan, Table Mountain, Jeje Khang, Masakhang and Gangcheyta. You will then be made to head back to your hotel in Thimphu for the night.
Day 11 :Thimphu – Paro
Post breakfast you will be driven to Paro, which is located at a road journey distance of 1 hour 20 mines. Once you arrive in Paro you will be checked in to your allotted hotel for spending the night and later on you will be made to head on for a sightseeing tour of this hill-scape. You will be taken on a visit to: Drukgyal Dzong – a ruined Buddhist monastery located atop a hill. Post lunch you will be taken to National museum – which houses a breathtaking collection of Thangka Paintings, artifacts and weapons. After your visit you will be taken for a short walk to Rinpung Dzong. You will be then headed back to your hotel in Paro.
Day 12 :Paro – Delhi
On your final day here you will be assisted to the airport where you will be made to board the flight heading towards Delhi. Upon arriving in Delhi you will be made to board the flight ongoing towards your desired destination.
