Picturesque Sikkim Tour Itinerary Package

Day 1 :Arrival in NJP / Bagdogra – Gangtok

Upon arriving at Siliguri, you will be immediately taken to the centre of Tibetan Buddhist culture teachings and the capital of Sikkim, Gangtok, which is located at an elevation of 1,650 metres above sea level. You will be spending your night in this magnificent hill town, from where you will be enabled to feast on the surrounding Eastern Himalayan snow-capped mountains.

  • You can try out the locally made famous cuisines that are widely available in almost every eatery joint. Try out food items like, momos, thukpa, gundruk and Sinki among others.
  • You can also go souvenir shopping for Tibetan carpets, traditional wall hangings and carvings, tribal masks, traditional Sikkimese dresses and a whole plethora of other vibrant articles.

Day 2 :Gangtok Sightseeing

Wake up early in the morning and leave to spend a blissful morning at the shimmering blue Tsomgo Lake, which remains completely frozen during the cold winter season. It is also held in extremely high reverence by the local Sikkimese people and serves as a watering hole point for the animals.

Your next stop will be the location of Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir, which is a shrine dedicated to honor the life of an Indian army soldier who was known as the ‘hero of Nathula’. This Indian soldier was given the status of a ‘saint’ by his set of believers.

After having a calm and insightful day, you will be made to headed back to Gangtok by afternoon. The remainder of the day is free for you to relax and experience the fresh air and untouched beauty of Gangtok.

Day 3 :Gangtok – Lachung

Lachung, a hill town located at an elevation of 2,900 metres will be your destination for today which will kick-start in the morning. It is also located at the confluence of Lachen and Lachung Rivers and is at a distance of 125 km from Gangtok.

En route you will take a halt at the famous Singhik viewpoint which overlooks at the lush green and rolling valley right below. You will also get a breathtaking view of the Siniolchu Mountain. On your way you will later also stop over at one of the most awe-inspiring natural Waterfall which plunges from an immense height and is a great sight during the monsoon seasons.

The entire journey towards Lachung is covered with extreme greenery, clean winding roads and the air reverbs the sound of the flowing river water.

After a 6 hours’ drive, once you arrive at ‘the most picturesque village of Sikkim’ you will be settled inside your hotel.

Day 4 :Lachung – Yumthang Excursion

Your day excursion for Yumthang, the flower valley, will begin early in the morning, which is nestled at an elevation of 3,500 metres above sea level. Home to numerous blooming Himalayan flowers and a river running from the centre, this place is extremely vibrant and tranquil.

Plan ahead of time, since the valley remains closed for visitations during the peak winter seasons of December to March, when the entire valley is carpeted in thick white snow.

After a beautiful sightseeing expedition day and spending some quality time with nature you will head back to your hotel for spending the night.

Pro Tip – make sure not to carry any non – biodegradable items like plastic bottles or polythene. You are also advised not to carry any alien seeds since it will alter the ecosystem of the entire valley.

Day 5 :Lachung – Gangtok

You will be driven back to Gangtok early in the morning while visiting the famous Bhim Nala falls, which are a magnificent sight to behold and the famous twin falls. The entire Sikkim region is dotted with numerous breathtaking falls and each one has its own unique features, names and relevance.

Gangtok will serve as your stopover destination for the day. The remainder of the evening is free for you to relax and spend some leisure time with your loved ones.

Day 6 :Gangtok – NJP / Bagdogra

Your trip concludes today after transferring you to either the railway station or airport situated here.
