Splendour of North East Tour Itinerary

Day 1 :Arrival at NJP Railway Station or IXB Airport

After reaching NJP Railway Station or IXB Airport, the guide will escort you to Gangtok (5 hours journey) which is considered as the cultural hub and also known as the modern capital city of the state. Upon arrival at Gangtok, you will be transferred to your pre-booked hotel and en-route hotel, enjoy the awe-inspiring views of the surroundings along the Teesta River. Check-in at the hotel and enjoy for the whole day as the rest of the day is designed to relaxation. Enjoy the scrumptious meal and then overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2 :Excursion of Baba Mandir and Tsomgo Lake

Post a hearty Breakfast, be ready to drive for 55 km to reach the pristine Tsomgo Lake. The lake is nestled at a great elevation which is not only known as a sightseeing destination but also a place where you can try for Yak Riding. Later on, you will be taken to a religious place Baba Mandir which is also a high-altitude structure. After the temple visit, you will be transferred to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Note: Be informed that if in case the region of Tsomgo Lake gets affected by the landslide then you will not be taken to the lake as the spot would be closed but you will be taken to explore some other places.

Day 3 :Gangtok – Lachung

Early morning after the morning meal you will drive towards Lachung (situated in the northern region of the state). You will be exploring some beautiful places while moving from Gangtok to Lachung like Bhim Nala Waterfall, Naga Waterfall, and the confluence of Lachung Chu and Lachen Chu at Chungthang. After your arrival at the destination of the day, you will be taken to the hotel for a healthy dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4 :Lachung – Yumthang Excursion – Lachung

This day is specially designed for the photogenic as you will be exploring the splendid Yumthang Valley. This is a perfect place to gather some of the most amazing and memorable memories of the state. Yumthang Valley is also called by the name Valley of Flowers. The moment you enter the valley region you will be fascinated with the Colorful beauty spread in the region. The place increase its charm if you visit it on a sunny day when you can witness some giant flower trees loaded with Colorful and scented flowers. The valley houses Shingba Rhododendron Sanctuary which has around more than 24 species of rhododendrons. You will also be visiting the hot springs located nearby the region. In the evening you will return back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5 :Lachung – Gangtok

Post breakfast check-out from the hotel and then drive towards the capital city of Sikkim. The city which is studded with natural beauties all around and is the most visited tourist destination in Sikkim. Upon your arrival at Gangtok, you will be taken to the hotel. Check-in, relax for few hours and then later in the evening go for a small walk in the city or you can also go to a shop and buy some traditional things like shawls, motifs, blankets, and hand-woven carpets. Return to the hotel and enjoy the last meal of the day and make yourself ready for the next day trip.

Day 6 :Gangtok – Pelling

Early morning, you will be transferred to Pelling by road and en-route Pelling you will be finding some lonely monasteries, tiny hamlets, and some amazing Colorful houses. You will also be taken to the Temi Tea Garden and at Siddheshwar Dham you will be exploring miniatures of Char Dham. You can also view out the giant statue of Guru Padmasambhava which is almost 45 feet high. Continue driving towards Pelling. After Arriving Pelling move to the hotel and stay there overnight.

Day 7 :Excursion of Pelling

The entire day is designed for the sightseeing tour of the city. Spend your first half of the day on visiting Darap Village, Khecheopalri Lake, Rimbi Waterfalls, and Khangchendzongha Waterfalls. On your visit to Darpa Village, you will get the chance to learn about the cultures, art, and history of the region which is the habitat of Gurungs, Rais, Tamangs, Chettris, Bhutias, and Lepchas community. If you want to experience the great symbiosis of sight and sound then do not miss out to visit Khangchendzongha waterfalls. Stop at any of the food shop or restaurant to enjoy the afternoon meal of the day. During the second part of the day go and visit New Helipad Ground, ruins of Rabdentse, and Pemayangtse Monastery. You will be free in the evening to go and try out some of the famous things in the city.

Day 8 :Pelling – Darjeeling

Check-out from the hotel after breakfast and then drive towards Darjeeling. On the way to Darjeeling, you will be visiting Singhik viewpoint from where you can witness the beautiful views of the imposing Khangchendzonga. The fragrance of tea leaves and the sounds of trains makes you feel that you have entered Darjeeling city. On your arrival at your destination, you will be taken to the hotel for the dinner and overnight stay.

Day 9 :Darjeeling Sightseeing

The day is designed for exploring the sightseeing destinations in Darjeeling including the Tiger Hill (8,400 feet high) and Mt. Khangchendzongha (28,208 feet). Explore these highest points and enjoy the city view from the top of the mountains, and also view the snow-capped mountains. While returning to the hotel visit Batasia Loop, Ghoom Monastery, and the War Memorial. Enjoy the morning meal and relax for a few hours. Go for the leftover sightseeing tour of the city which includes some really interesting and important places of the city like Tibetan Refugee self-help Center, Tea Garden, Tenzing Rock, Japanese Temple, and ropeway. After the sightseeing tour return back to the hotel and relax. The evening is set free for you so it’s up to you either you relax at the hotel or stroll around the cities.

Day 10 :Darjeeling – NJP Railway Station/ IXB Airport

After enjoying a healthy breakfast check-out from the hotel and move towards the NJP Railway Station or IXB Airport for your further journey way back home.
