Day 01 : Drive from Colombo – Tangalle

As per the itinerary, you will be picked up from your hotel room in Colombo and afterwards, you will follow a long 3 hours journey on the road admiring the lush green beauty that is Sri Lanka. On reaching Tangalle, the representative will ask you to follow some check-in formalities as it would require handing some identity cards and showing the Passport.

You will refresh yourself from the previous road trip by relaxing in your hotel room for about an hour. Then, your tour representative will guide you through your sightseeing tour of Tangalle. The first place you will visit will Rekawa which is famous for its blue lagoon and here, you can enjoy canoeing, kayaking as this lagoon is filled with birds and fishes. Day 2 :Sightseeing in Tangalle – Back to Colombo

Next morning, first, start your day with a hot cup of tea and a nice Sri Lankan breakfast. Then, you will first visit the Silent beach of Tangalle where tourists wander because of its unique feel and captures many different wonders here. The light blue water wrecking up the white sand of this beach makes it a very beautiful beach and the tranquility here at this place can calm anybody’s whirling senses.

After an hour of exploring this beach, you will proceed for a spiritual place in Tangalle and it is famous because of its unique architectural beauty – Mulkirigala Rock Temple. It is one of the oldest temples of Tangalle and it was built on 205 m high rock and further, surrounded by four other rock hills. The temple holds a great significance in the Buddhist community and is also been recognized by the UNESCO community who care after this temple.

Lastly, you will proceed towards Udawalawe National Park which is a wilderness beauty of Tangalle and here, you can connect yourself with the forest beauty of nature. The park is one of the oldest parks of Sri Lanka harboring the animal species who got displaced from their actual place when the Udawalawe reservoir was constructed. Majorly, elephants can be seen wandering in this national park but other rare bird species also live here.

After this, you will be transferred back to your hotel room in Colombo.
