Chardham Tour Itinerary by GMVN
Day 1 :Rishikesh – Barkot – Phool Chatti (241 km)
Your sacred yatra begins early in the morning at 6 AM — the departure will be from Rishikesh. The first day includes a scenic drive of over 240 km through the Himalayan foothills.
By 4 PM, we arrive at Phool Chatti, our stopover for the night. Enjoy a freshly prepared vegetarian dinner & take this evening to rest.
Day 2 :Phool Chatti – Yamunotri Dham – Phool Chatti
The second day of the yatra begins with a light breakfast. We start the uphill trek to Yamunotri Temple, reaching there by 9 AM. A short climb of 1 km uphill from the temple will take our party to the source glacier.
Another major attraction in the temple premises is the hot water spring, in which devotees prepare Prasadam of boiled potatoes and rice to be taken home.
After having Darshan of Divya Shila, Surya Kund and the Yamunotri Temple, we will return towards our base camp. By 4 PM, we are set to reach Phoolchatti. Dinner and overnight stay at Phoolchatti.
Day 3 :Phool Chatti – Uttarkashi – Harsil
On the third day of the GMVN Char Dham Tour, the journey involves a 200 km drive to Harshil. By afternoon, we would have reached Uttarkashi. You can visit the famous Kashi Vishwanath Temple while in Uttarkashi. A one-hour lunch break is allotted from 1 PM to 2 PM. By 5 PM, we will reach our scenic stopover for the day at Harshil. Enjoy your overnight stay at Harshil.
Day 4 :Harsil – Gangotri – Uttarkashi
After your overnight stay at Harshil, begin your fourth day of the yatra with a visit to the Gangotri temple. The temple is located around 25 km from Harshil — a beautiful drive through the Himalayan wilderness. Take your time for darshan, rituals and even a brief exploration of the surroundings.
Next, the travellers with begin the return journey. A lunch break is scheduled En route, after which we head back to Uttarkashi, reaching by late afternoon or early evening. On arrival, check into your hotel & enjoy dinner.
Day 5 :Uttarkashi – New Tehri – Syalsaur
The fifth day will see us embark on a scenic drive of over 270 km through Garhwal. We will take a brief pause at New Tehri for a one-hour lunch break.
By around 5 PM, we will arrive at our stop for the day — the GMVN Tourist Rest House in Syalsur, a peaceful location along the banks of the Mandakini River. Overnight stay here.
Day 6 :Syalsaur – Gaurikund – Kedarnath
On the Sixth day of the GMVN Char Dham tour, we will visit the third of the Char Dham Temples - Kedarnath. We will depart from Syalsaur by 6 AM to reach Gaurikund by 9.30 AM.
After having an early lunch, we will set out towards Shiva's Jyotirlinga at Kedarnath. The 15 km uphill trek is a true test of one’s physical endurance and spiritual perseverance.
After reaching the summit, take some time to attend the soulful evening Aarti and soak in the divine energy that surrounds the Jyotirlinga. Overnight stay will be arranged at a guesthouse or camp near the temple precincts.
Day 7 :Kedarnath – Gaurikund – Rudraprayag
After having Darshan of Lord Shiva once more in his pristine form as Jyotirlinga and taking part in the early morning Pooja, we will trek downhill towards Gaurikund. A visit to the Guptkashi Temple is also included in the day's itinerary. By 6.30 PM in the evening, we would have reached our halt for the day at Rudraprayag. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 8 :Rudraprayag – Joshimath – Badrinath
After enjoying an early breakfast, we will depart towards the fourth Char Dham Temple - Badrinath. We will halt for lunch while on the 160 km bus drive at Joshimath. By 4.30 PM, we will arrive at the GMVN Tourist House Devlok at Badrinath. After freshening up, enjoy a blissful Darshan of Lord Badrinarayan and take part in the blissful Pooja. Retire for an early night's sleep after enjoying a sumptuous meal.
Day 9 :Badrinath – Joshimath – Kaleshwar
We begin the penultimate day of our Char Dhar Yatra Tour in the early morning at Badrinath. Witness the Mangala Aarti & the morning pooja at the Badrinath temple.
By 9 AM, the travelling party will depart for Joshimath. There you will enjoy a hearty lunch break, and if time permits, you can opt for a cable car ride to Auli. Do note that the Auli cable car ride is optional & charges are to be borne on your end.
Afterwards, we resume our journey to Kaleshwar. Dinner and overnight stay at the GMVN Rest House.
Day 10 :Kaleshwar – Kaudiyala – Rishikesh
The final day in the GMVN Char Dham tour itinerary involves a 180 km road trip from Kaleshwar to Rishikesh. We will halt at Kaudiyala for a one-hour lunch break. By 6 OM, we will have reached Rishikesh. Hopefully, the beautiful pilgrimage has left you profoundly altered and joyous!
